School Improvement Plan

We have spent the last year at Thomas Haney Secondary gathering data, seeking input from students, staff and parents, and looking at ways to improve our school so that we can always be the best we can be. In our school growth plan you will find 3 areas of focus which includes improving student learning through:

• Improved School Culture
• Improved Numeracy Skills
• Improved Literacy Skills

As a staff we have also focused on 3 areas for School Growth that we believe will work hand in hand in achieving excellence in our school growth plan. These areas for growth include: Curriculum and Instruction, Communication/TA, as well as School Culture. We have divided into teams and will work in our “areas of interest” over the year. At the end of the year we will assess how we have done and where we would like to move to next.
